Player Terms&Conditions

Enrolment

All new players must contact us via email. We can not let you participate in lessons if you have not contacted us prior. Once you are enrolled, we reserve your spot until you inform us otherwise. That means you do not have to re-enrol every single term but instead let us know if you wish to cancel your enrolment.

Payment/Invoicing

We send out invoices at the end of each month, for your attendance during the month. Invoices are to be paid within 14 days once received. After the due date, a late fee of $5.50/per week will be applied. If the full payment is not received after 4 weeks of the due date, JV Tennis Academy reserves the right to suspend further lessons until such payment is made. We do not accept cash payments.

Cancellation of Enrolment

A 14-day cancellation notice applies, and all cancellations must be made via email. You are, of course, still welcome to attend sessions until the cancellation is processed. Please note that mentioning the cancellation to our coaches or staff while on court does not count as an official cancellation. If you fail to inform us about your cancellation in writing, we will need to charge you for your lessons up until the day we receive your email, as the time/spot was still reserved for you. The final invoice must be paid prior to the requested cancellation date; otherwise, the cancellation cannot be processed. Once the two-week notice has been submitted, lessons cannot be cancelled prior, and you will be invoiced for all lessons booked during the two-week notice period.

Cancellation of one lesson due to commitments or sickness

We have a 24hr cancellation policy! In case you can not make it to your lesson you will need to let us know by emailing away@jvtennis.com.au. If you fail to do so we will charge the full lesson amount. If you let us know in advance we are not charging you for the lesson missed.

Weather

If your lesson is cancelled due to inclement weather we will send out an email notifying of the lesson cancellation. If you don’t hear from us, the lesson is on! On rainy days we will run an indoor program for our Hot Shot classes. The lessons cancelled by us for any reason will not show up on your invoice.

Medical Emergency

If medical treatment is required and the parent/guardian cannot be contacted, I authorise the JV Tennis Academy coach in charge to seek the necessary medical treatment. I release from JV Tennis Academy any and all liability for injury and costs associated with any JV Tennis Academy programs or events.

Photos & Videos

Photographs and video may be taken during lessons and events conducted by JV Tennis Academy. It is acknowledged that these images and video may be used for marketing and promotion including our website, social media and marketing material. If you have any objections yours or your child's photos or video being used, please notify us in writing.

Behaviour

JV Tennis Academy reserve the right to exclude your child from any JV Tennis Academy activities if;
- the behaviour of your child is disruptive or likely to put other children or JV Tennis Academy staff in danger
- or your behaviour towards us, other customers, children in their care or any other parties involved in our tennis lessons is disruptive, inappropriate or likely to bring us or any of our services into disrepute.

Before and after the lesson

It is the parent/guardians responsibility to supervise the child immediately before and after the JV Tennis Academy lesson/event. If waiting around the courts, the tennis clubs policies apply. JV Tennis Academy reserves the right to exclude your child from any JV Tennis Academy activities if the behaviour of your child is disruptive or damaging the clubs property and also if the parent/guardian fails to supervise the child.
